Never Trust Someone That is Color-Blind!!

I should know better!! I grew up with an entire family of color blindness. My brother, my dad, and grandfathers were color blind. I even passed along the gene to both of MY boys. With that being said; I know how to deal with color blindness. I have to go to extra lengths when it comes to school supplies ie; crayons, colored pencils, etc.

So why on God's green earth would I send my son this morning to google something for me? (relating to color) I simply asked, please go google ' How to make the color brown'. I was making some last minute pillar candles that were to be scented Caffe Latte. Naturally; the color should be brown. He comes back and says; okay Mom you need to mix green and red. I respond; are you sure? (forgetting color blindness at this moment). Yes; I am sure is the response I get.

Okay; here we go - 5 drops of red and 5 drops of green. Hmmmmmmmmmm....... my response is; "Wow, that is craziest looking brown I have ever seen!" My 'Caffe Latte' candles are the most beautiful purple you have ever seen. What does my son say? I think it looks perfect, Gramma will love it! I would post a photo but they are not ready to take out of the molds yet. So.... how do you make brown? My wikiAnswers tell me red, blue, and yellow. Why? Why would he look at an actual color chart?

If anyone would like a 'Caffe Latte' purple candle, shoot me an email! I will give you a great deal.
